G2 Esports did not disclose the exact amount of the Series B investment, only confirming that it is a seven-figure sum.

The funding comes from existing investors, the company’s own management, and new investors who have taken a stake in the Berlin-based esports organization. Among the named investors are existing backers such as Jens Hilgers, co-founder of Bitkraft and ESL, as well as Al Tylis, a part-owner of Necaxa, Wrexham (Welsh football club), DC United (MLS), and Bluepool, owners of the Brooklyn Nets (NBA) and New York Liberty (WNBA).

New investors include the Wilf family, participating through their investment arm WIDE Ventures. G2 Esports had already established a strategic partnership with the Wilf family in 2023, which facilitated the takeover of Minnesota Rokkr’s slot in the Call of Duty League. Minnesota Rokkr is an esports organization under Version1, owned by the Wilf family. The Wilfs also own the NFL 
team Minnesota Vikings and the MLS and NWSL teams Orlando City SC.

Other new G2 Esports investors include Gary Vaynerchuk and The Tornante Company, the investment firm of former Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
With the fresh capital, G2 Esports aims to expand its business and further diversify its product offerings for fans. This should not only fuel the organization's growth but also enable the formation of teams for new games—though G2 Esports has not disclosed specifics on this front.
