The recently released rulebook is the fastest selling Dungeons & Dragons product of all time. It had been pre-sold on selected events like gamescom before the official release on 17 September. Wizards of the Coast hasn't released the exact sales numbers, however.

The 2024 Player's Handbook, the latest core rulebook for Dungeons & Dragons, is the fastest-selling product in the 50-year since the invention of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. In the first week after its release on 17 September, the 2024 Player's Handbook has sold faster than any other product in the history of Dungeons & Dragons.

The record was announced by Wizards of the Coast in a press release. However, the Hasbro-owned company did not disclose the exact sales figures. The previous sales record for the D&D universe was held by the rules update Tasha's Cauldron of Everything from 2020 - also without exact sales figures being made public.

The 2024 Player's Handbook had already been pre-sold at selected trade fairs, including gamescom 2024, before the official release.
