CD Projekt continues to do well, with Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 selling strongly. The first part of the new Witcher trilogy is in full production, and a new Cyberpunk animation project with Netflix is in development.

In the third quarter of 2024, the CD Projekt Group's revenues amounted to PLN 228 million, approximately €52.9 million (just under 80 percent from CD Projekt Red and 20 percent from GOG.com), with a consolidated net profit of PLN 78 million, nearly €18 million. Sales revenue was down 49 per cent on the same period last year, but this is due to the fact that Phantom Liberty was released last year (25 September 2023) and no new games were released during the period.

"We're looking back at another very strong quarter. Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion continue to sell very well, but The Witcher 3 is also performing admirably. Our cumulative net profit for 2024 is already nearing a quarter billion PLN – even though we're only on the cusp of the most intensive quarter in terms of sales," summarizes Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD Projekt.

Full production has begun on Project Polaris, the first part of the new Witcher trilogy. "I'm proud to confirm that several weeks ago the Polaris team wrapped up preproduction and moved on to full-scale production - the most intensive phase of development. We are very pleased with our progress on this project, and I wish to thank the team for its dedication," says Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD Projekt. At the end of October 2024, around 400 developers were working on the next Witcher game, 64 on the next Cyberpunk game, 42 on Project Sirius at The Molasses Flood (also in the Witcher universe), 18 on Hadar (WT), a new own brand, and 107 on shared services.

The Polish company also announced two sales milestones for products in the Cyberpunk universe (as of 26 November). Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 30 million copies in less than four years. The expansion, Phantom Liberty, has sold over 8 million copies in just over a year. Both figures include sales of the Ultimate Edition. "These are impressive figures. I'm very happy to see a large, dedicated community coalesce around our Cyberpunk games. In the coming year the base game, along with its expansion, will be released to a new group of users: owners of Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips," announces Michał Nowakowski. Speaking of Cyberpunk, a new animated project is in development with Netflix, the previous one was Cyberpunk Edgerunners. No details were given, but a return to Night City was mentioned during Geeked Week 2024.
