Electronic Arts' new football game naturally debuts at number one in the German September 2025 games charts, but another publisher is also making its mark at the top of the rankings. Take-Two Interactive has five games in the top ten.

Unsurprisingly, EA Sports FC 26 secured the top spot among the best-selling PC and console games in Germany just a few days after its release in September 2025. It was followed by Borderlands 4, which was released on 11 September. Five games from Take-Two Interactive's 2K and Rockstar Games labels are in the top ten, including Borderlands 4 in second place, Grand Theft Auto V in third, NBA 2K26 in fifth, Red Dead Redemption 2 in sixth, and Mafia: The Old Country in tenth. The latter debuted in first place last month.

Hades II and Hollow Knight: Silksong are not included because the respective publishers have not provided GSD with any sales data.

Three newly released titles have also made it into the monthly charts: Konami's horror game Silent Hill f entered at seventh place, Nacon's action-adventure game Hell is Us made it to 14th place, and Sega's Sonic Racing: Crossworlds reached 20th place. There are also comebacks from games such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which benefited from the launch of new DLC. Other re-entrants have been boosted by sales promotions.

No longer in the top 20 are Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (4th place in August), Donkey Kong Bananza (10th place in August) and EA Sports Madden NFL 26 (15th place in August). This means that there are currently no Nintendo games in the German top 20, which is unusual.
