Claymore Game Studios and Playa Games Receive Federal Funding

Claymore Game Studios, based in Darmstadt, has received €361,496 in direct project funding from the German Federal Games Funding Programme for the second DLC (Capture) for Commandos: Origins. The funding period runs from 01 November 2025 to 30 June 2026. This is the studio's third grant, in addition to funding for the main game (€1.53 million) and the Season Pass (€477,656). Recently, €1.26 million was awarded to Gaming Minds Studios for the Tropico 7 Season Pass. Both Gaming Minds Studios and Claymore Game Studios are part of the Kalypso Media Group.

Shakes & Fidget – Die Schatzsuche (The Treasure Hunt), created by Playa Games in Hamburg, has been awarded €210,142 in funding. The funding period runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 July 2026. This is Playa Games' second time receiving federal funding, following Mobile Dungeon (€1.35 million).
