Berlin International Gaming (BIG) and BWI GmbH, the Bundeswehr's digitalisation partner, have extended their partnership by a further year and are expanding their cooperation in esports.

The partnership between Berlin International Gaming (BIG) and BWI GmbH aims to increase reach and visibility further, as well as creating synergies in the area of employer branding. This will include joint event appearances, content formats and workshops at the BIG headquarters in Berlin and at external locations for BWI employees and prospective candidates. Tobias 'tow b' Herberhold, a former professional player, head coach, entrepreneur and current advisor to BIG, has also contributed his expertise to joint activities.

In addition to supporting the Counter-Strike 2 male and female teams (BIG EQUIPA) and the Trackmania team, BWI will also support the Fortnite team in future. The team recently won the FNCS Major with Taylor-Petrik 'Vic0' Gatschelhofer and has already qualified for top international tournaments.

Daniel Finkler, CEO and Co-Founder of BIG, said: "We are very happy about the success of our partnership with BWI at all levels. Following last year's successful launch, we are particularly pleased to expand our cooperation with Fortnite and set new trends together in the areas of community, employer branding and content."

BWI is one of the largest IT service companies in Germany. It provides the Bundeswehr with IT services both domestically and abroad. The company now employs over 7,700 people nationwide. Sportfive, the sports business agency, once again facilitated the deal between BWI and BIG.
