Acclaim has unveiled the first nine titles in its inaugural Play Acclaim Showcase. The publisher is back and aims to bring indie games to a global audience of gamers.

Acclaim held its inaugural Play Acclaim Showcase, revealing the first wave of games marking the company's return to the industry. The showcase featured nine titles: Talaka (Potato Kid), GRIDBeat! (Ridiculous Games), Pixel Washer (Valadria), TossDown (Fer Factor), Hyper Yuki (Wabisabi Design), Ground Zero Hero (Rowan Edmondson), Basketball Classic (Namo Gamo), The Prisoning, Fletcher's Quest (Elden Pixels), and Katanaut (Voidmaw). The last one was already released on PC.

"We're ecstatic to relaunch Acclaim with a lineup that captures our legacy of bold creativity and delivers fresh, unforgettable experiences," said Alex Josef, CEO of Acclaim. "These games are just the beginning of our mission to redefine fun for players everywhere."

Acclaim was originally founded in 1987 and became a developer, publisher and marketer responsible for bringing popular games such as Mortal Kombat, Turok and NBA Jam to consoles. In winter 2025, a team of industry veterans came together with the aim of bringing Acclaim back into the industry fold. "Today, Acclaim carries forward the ideology on which it was founded with its unrelenting support of talented indie developers and its delivery of high-quality, premium indie games to a global audience of discerning gamers. Acclaim’s return is a testament to the strength and enduring appeal of its iconic brand," the announcement reads.
