Studios and publishers looking to submit their titles for the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP; German Computer Game Award) may need to work through the holidays. The submission period opens on January 6 and runs for only eleven days, ending on January 17.

It remains unclear to what extent the early elections will impact the organization of the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP German Computer Game Award) 2025. However, it is certain that these circumstances will leave a mark on the DCP. After all, the federal government, represented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, is one of the award's key organizers.

Nevertheless, the games industry is being urged to consider participating in the DCP over the holiday period. As the organizers have now announced, the submission phase for the DCP 2025 will officially begin on January 6. Studios and publishers have until January 17 to submit their games, with further details available on the official DCP website.

"We look back on a year of diverse and exciting German-made games. Despite challenging times, the German games industry is once again demonstrating its strength: there is an unbridled desire in this country to develop games, tell stories, and create unique worlds. We want to celebrate this together at the German Computer Game Awards 2025 and look forward to many exciting submissions," says Felix Falk, Managing Director of game – The German Games Industry Association.
