A total of 83 game developers took part in the 14th InnoGames Game Jam from 6 to 8 October, most of them at the publisher's headquarters in Hamburg, and created a total of 18 titles in just two days, with Team Kipferl from Stresstest Games coming out on top in the subsequent evaluation.

For twelve years now, Hamburg-based games publisher InnoGames has been inviting interested developers to IGJAM, the InnoGames Game Jam, and opening the doors to the company's headquarters in the Hanseatic city. According to the company, the IGJAM is the largest regular Game Jam in Germany and, along with the Global Game Jam, the one that attracts the most attention in the country. And the results of the 14th IGJAM are impressive.

A total of 18 different games were created between 6 and 8 October, all under this year's theme of "Dreams & Nightmares". A total of 83 developers took part in this year's Game Jam, 14 of whom developed online. The rest stayed at the InnoGames headquarters with pizza and sleeping bags. The participants then organised themselves into teams and tackled their respective team-developed project.

Traditionally, the new games could be played and evaluated by the participants after development. The title "Dr. McGuffin's Dream Lab" by "Team Kipferl" beat the competition. Second place went to "Andenken" by "Stresstest Games", and third place went to "Dreamrail Defender" by "Arndt's Team".

"With Halloween just around the corner, the theme of 'Dreams & Nightmares' has resulted in many scary and beautiful games. We hope that the jammers had better dreams during the jam weekend than their projects suggest! As always, many thanks to all who took part, congratulations to the winners and special thanks to the project team for a great organisation. After the jam is before the jam, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one," says Hendrik Rakemann, software developer and project manager at InnoGames.
