Next year, Brandmate will take place for the fourth time, but no longer in Frankfurt. The brand festival is moving from Frankfurt to the Grand Hall of the Kokerei at the disused Zeche Zollverein in Essen.

New location, new event – the organisers have now revealed the first details of Brandmate 2025. The B2B event for brands and licensing products will take place on 25 and 26 June 2025 and will be the fourth time it has been held. Nevertheless, it is a premiere because the event is not taking place in Frankfurt for the first time. The brand festival is moving to Essen in North Rhine-Westphalia, or more precisely to the Grand Hall of the Kokerei (coking plant) of the disused Zeche Zollverein.

"With its spectacular architecture and extraordinary flair, the new location offers the perfect setting for the upcoming Brandmate," says a delighted Eva Stemmer, Managing Director of Brandmate GmbH. Christian Ulrich, also Managing Director of Brandmate GmbH and Spokesman of the Board of Spielwarenmesse eG, adds: "The change of location will give the event new impetus and emphasise its dynamic format."

Brandmate has been part of the Spielwarenmesse event family since 2022, after the planned licensing fair Licensing-X Germany was merged with Brandmate. Brandmate focuses on the Gaming & E-Sports, Food & Drink, Home & Living and Sports sectors - in addition to the familiar entertainment, toys and stationery worlds.

This year, the event attracted 800 participants from 350 companies. In addition to Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Consumer Products, other exhibitors included Hasbro, Mattel, Paramount, RTL CP and RTL2, Seven. One Licensing, WDR mediagroup, Bandai Namco, Bavaria Media, Brandora, Crunchyroll, the German Football Association (DFB), Strassenkicker, Kosmos, Kiddinx, EMP, Studio 100, Elle and gamification and serious games company erspielbar.
