Der Deutsche eSport-Bund (ESB) wird in diesem Jahr von der Optima Pharmazeutischen GmbH unterstützt. Das Unternehmen stellt ein Präparat namens "Tears Again" her, das der Austrocknung des Auges bei langer Beanspruchung am Bildschirm vorbeugen soll. Darüber hinaus unterstützt der Verband in diesem Jahr wieder die deutsche E-Sports Nationalmannschaft bei den European Nations Championship (ENC), deren Finale auf der GC - Games Convention stattfinden wird. In den Disziplinen Counter-Strike, WarCraft III: Reign Of Chaos und FIFA Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 werden in Leipzig die Titel vergeben. Dabei tritt die deutsche Nationalmannschaft in Trikots des ESB an. "Wir hoffen, dass die Spieler Deutschland wieder würdig vertreten", sagte Frank Sliwka, Geschäftsführer des ESB.
