Esports World Cup Foundation is Publicly Seeking Licensees

The Esports World Cup Foundation has launched a public call for license partners. Similar to a call for papers at games conferences, interested brand manufacturers can throw their hats into the ring for the Global Licensing Program.
In addition to their contact details, brand owners interested in producing or marketing official Esports World Cup (EWC) products can specify which product groups and regions they are targeting. The form highlights the broad spectrum of potential licensed products, with possible categories ranging from accessories, bags, and home decor to shoes, travel accessories, sporting goods, toys, and games.
There are no regional limits either. The Esports World Cup Foundation is actively seeking partners across all continents and regions of the world.
"With this licensing program, we reinforce our commitment to enhancing the fan experience and creating lasting memories that embody the spirit of esports," writes the Esports World Cup Foundation on LinkedIn. Details regarding the further process have not been made public but can be requested via email.
The EWC is taking place for the second time this year. According to its own reports, the event, which spans several weeks and features numerous individual competitions, reached over 500 million viewers and welcomed more than two million visitors on-site. Since the first Olympic Esports Games are also scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2025, and an overlap or integration of both competitions is at least considered likely, these numbers could rise significantly this year. On the other hand, a certain budget is necessary for participation in the EWC, as shown by an analysis of sponsorship costs for EWC 2024 by the German medium Spobis.
