The French company Esports Virtual Arenas (EVA) operates competitive, free-roaming, multiplayer virtual reality arenas spanning 500 m² across more than 70 franchised locations in 11 countries, with over one million players. This is where eight European esports organisations will now compete against each other.

"Having spent over five years leading Paris Saint-Germain Esports, I witnessed this industry transform at a breathtaking pace. Today, as a game publisher, we are taking a step no one has yet dared to take: creating the first professional virtual reality competition bringing together eight major European clubs. VR is not a trend, it is the next arena for elite esports, and we will be the ones leading the way," says Yassine Jaada, VP Esports & Communications, EVA.

This is reflected in the structure of the league itself. Each participating club is tied to an EVA venue and a city in an attempt to create a local dynamic, whereby fans and supporters can identify with their club, venue and region. Participating clubs and their associated arenas:

  • G2 Esports - based in EVA Les Mureaux, France
  • Team Vitality - based in EVA Marseille, France
  • Team Heretics - based in EVA Madrid, Spain
  • SK Gaming - based in EVA Cologne, Germany
  • GiantX - based in EVA Malaga, Spain
  • Shifters - based in EVA Rouen, France
  • Solary - based in EVA Tours, France
  • OG Esports - based in EVA Troyes, France

"EVA has laid the foundations for an innovative format that has proved a real hit with the public and is pushing the boundaries of esports by incorporating a unique physical dimension. By joining the competitive circuit, our ambition is now to help develop this league into a new benchmark for top-level competition," explains Fabien 'Neo' Devide, President at Team Vitality. "We can't wait to see the EVA Pro League kick off and this roster shine in this new competitive Environment ... from Marseille! It's the start of a new adventure for Team Vitality."

The EVA Pro League will run from 14 April to 25 October 2026. All regular-season games will be played at each team's venue, with EVA technology enabling two teams to play at two different locations simultaneously. Teams will meet at the same venue during the play-offs. At the end of the regular season, a total prize pool of €50,000 will be distributed among all eight clubs. This figure is set to increase: 25% of the revenue generated by sales of league skins will be added. The top four teams will qualify directly for the EVA Summit playoffs, which come with an additional €15,000 prize pool. Every EVA Pro League game will be broadcast live on Twitch, with co-streams available in multiple languages.
