Boulder Dash World Championship Qualifiers at the Computerspielemuseum in Berlin

On 24 July, Germany's best Boulder Dash players will compete at the Computerspielemuseum in Berlin for a chance to qualify for the World Cup, to be held on 23 August at gamescom in Cologne. Another qualifying round will take place at the GAMM Museum in Rome.
On 24 July 2025, Germany's best Boulder Dash players will meet at the Computerspielemuseum Berlin at 11 a.m. to compete in the 'Master Challenge' qualifying tournament. All museum visitors will be eligible to participate on the day. The winner will be decided over three rounds, after which they will be seeded in the main field at the World Championship in Cologne on 23 August. The Italian champion, who will be determined on Thursday in a competition taking place at the same time at the GAMM Museum in Rome, will also compete there. During gamescom on 21 August, the world's best Boulder Dash players will compete in the final in front of the developers, including Chris Hülsbeck, to be crowned world champion.

The classic game is being re-released as Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary on 21 August 2025. It has been developed and published by BBG Entertainment for PC, Mac, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox.
