Level Up 2024 in Salzburg Aims for 10,000+ Visitors
The fourth Level Up in Salzburg is aiming to break the 10,000 visitor mark this year. To achieve this, the gaming festival is expanding its programme and bringing back popular highlights.
The 2024 edition of Level Up will take place on 29 and 30 June 2024 at the Messezentrum Salzburg. After three successful years with 2,500, 6,500 and 9,500 visitors, the organisers are aiming to break the 10,000 barrier this year (tickets).
The festival area is divided into the Gaming Zone, Retro Area, Artist Alley, uRage Free2Play Area, the area for tabletop and trading card games, and the Indie Games Area presented by FH Salzburg. In addition, companies from the industry will be presenting themselves and recruiting new employees.
The most popular features of the programme will be back again this year. These include the Cosplay Contest and matches on the main stage, including the Rocket League competition "Morekats Mayhem #5", the ESSL Valorant Tournament powered by MCI and the Super Smash Spectacle Level Up Breakout. Letsplay4Charity will be livestreaming from the festival and raising money for charity. Over 10,000 Euros has been raised in each of the last few years. New to the festival is the Raiffeisen Club Community Stage. There will be a number of tournaments for young and old to take part in. And for the first time, there will be a dedicated Fighting Games area, where beat'em ups - from Super Smash Bros to Street Fighter to Guilty Gear and more - will be played. There are also two newcomers to the Main Stage. The first is SheRivals: Queens of Austria. Here, the best female players from the German-speaking countries will battle it out in League of Legends. The second new event is a Counter Strike 2 tournament.
