Narranauten Organize Narrative Games Camp in April

On 27 April, the Narrative Games Camp will take place in Leipzig, welcoming narrative and game designers of all experience levels. The event, structured as a barcamp, is organized by the Narranauten (Narranauts).
In true barcamp style, there is no fixed programme ahead of the Narrative Games Camp—sessions are proposed and selected by participants on site. Potential topics span narrative design, gamification, game design, artificial intelligence, inclusion in gaming, and the cultural dimensions of digital games.
The event will be held on 27 April at the Information Centre, Georg-Schumann-Straße 126, Leipzig. Tickets can be purchased for a small fee of up to 13 euros (students pay less) on the Eventbrite page.
"A barcamp is all about coming together—anything is possible, nothing is mandatory! The programme is created democratically and spontaneously, so discussions focus on what’s currently on participants’ minds, at eye level. Nothing is dictated from above!" says Barbara Mendes Jenner, co-organiser of the event.
The Narranauten are a collective of game and narrative designers who came together in autumn 2024 to share their passion for storytelling in video games. Since then, they have been organizing events in a variety of formats and with different thematic focuses.
