To bridge the wait until the next Polaris, the Hamburg-based community event is partnering with the Japan Festival on 25 May in Hamburg. The organisers hope to strengthen their connection with the community.

Last year, Polaris attracted 40,000 visitors, making the festival for content creators, gaming, and Japanese pop culture the second-largest gaming event in Germany after gamescom. With several months to go until the next edition, which will be taking place from 10 to 12 October, the organisers decided to collaborate with the Japan Festival in Hamburg.

As part of this partnership, Polaris will not only host a booth at the festival but will also bring along its event app, which has already been downloaded by more than 25,000 users. The app offers attendees information about the Japan Festival, including a full list of exhibitors. Visitors can also look forward to both digital and physical rewards — including tickets to Polaris.

"We are thrilled to be part of the 57th Japan Festival as Polaris. The event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our community near the exhibition grounds during the summer. We're especially pleased that the popular Polaris app will be used outdoors for the first time, and we hope visitors enjoy levelling up and collecting QR code stickers," says Wolf Lang, CEO of Super Crowd, co-organiser of Polaris.
