The eleventh edition of Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con will take place from 29 to 31 May 2025. This festival provides a platform for exploring topics such as films, series, video games, comics, anime, space travel, fantasy and science.

With around 95,000 visitors expected to attend from Switzerland and abroad, the exhibition centre in Basel will host one of the biggest pop culture events in Europe. According to the organisers, the Cosplay Village lies at the heart of the convention. Thousands of cosplayers are expected to attend, with organisers claiming that Fantasy Basel is the largest cosplay gathering in Europe.

In the dedicated gaming hall, The Pokémon Company will be exhibiting for the first time. Other exhibitors include Nintendo, Bethesda, and the SGDA (Swiss Game Developers Association). Esports teams March Marmots, Virtualetix, ZeroOneClan, Swiss Ghosts and Scythe of Seraph will also be in attendance. Influencers Domtendo and Raafey will be available for meet-and-greets. There will also be tabletop and trading card games.

To avoid crowding at the entrances, the organisers are staggering admission times. Tickets for the 10 a.m. slot on Thursday and three-day tickets have already sold out. However, tickets are still available for the 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. time slots (also for the 10 a.m. slot on Friday while stocks last), with reduced admission prices for young people on Family Day (Friday). Tickets allow all-day entry to the entire 100,000 m² exhibition area until 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the box office or online while stocks last.
