One of Germany's most prominent games journalists turned PR Leads goes global: Former Xbox GSA Lead Sandro Odak is now Global PR Lead for Dying Light dev Techland.

Sandro Odak has been Xbox GSA’s Communication Lead for five years, and before that, he headed several video game magazine websites for media giant Webedia in Germany. Now, the PR and journalism expert concentrates international PR power in Munich: Since this April, Odak is Global PR Lead for Polish developer Techland. The developers of Dying Light 2 and of a new fantasy IP announced in 2022 has hired Odak just shortly after Dying Light 2’s second anniversary.

Odak celebrates his new position on LinkedIn: “With 17 years of experience as a games industry communicator and journalist, I've covered many great games and Techland crafts some of the most intense, action-packed gameplay experiences out there. I still remember playing the E3 demo of Dying Light a dozen years or so ago and my sheer horror when it dawned and night crept in. That feeling of going from hunter to hunted still gives me a chill down the spine today!

I can't wait to contribute to Techland's continued success and there's so much greatness: Dying Light 2 - the ULTIMATE zombie experience - just celebrated its 2nd Anniversary with lots of changes made based on community feedback and we're also working on a brand new fantasy IP.”
