Giants Software has announced the release of Farming Simulator 26 for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Additionally, the Swiss publisher and developer Straight4 Studios has made Update 2.0 available for Project Motor Racing, the biggest update to the simulation since its launch.
Publishers and developer Giants Software have announced Farming Simulator 26. The game is set to launch on 19 May 2026. Farming Simulator 26: Nintendo Switch Edition will be available from selected retailers and on the Nintendo eShop. Mobile versions for iPhone, iPad and Android devices will be available on the App Store and Google Play respectively.
In Farming Simulator 26, virtual farmers can explore two new environments: a European map and a North American map. The new challenge system provides optional guidance, such as delivering wheat to a grain mill to produce flour for cakes. Players are rewarded for completing weekly or seasonal challenges. Thanks to GPS guidance and improved in-game tutorials, the game will be more accessible. This latest instalment in the series enables players to operate over 120 realistic tractors, harvesters, field sprayers, and other types of machinery. Manufacturers featured in the line-up include Case IH, Claas, Deutz-Fahr, Fendt, John Deere, Krone, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland and Valtra.
Giants Software: "Farming Simulator 26 offers plenty of activities, letting players shape their farm around whatever they prefer: They can spend a calm session in the fields cultivating 15 different crops, head into the woods with heavy forestry equipment, or care for farm animals like cows, sheep, chickens, and goats, including their offspring. New production chains, and the logistics required to keep them running, add another layer of depth."
Publisher Giants Software and developer Straight4 Studios have also released Update 2.0 for Project Motor Racing, the largest update to the simulation since its launch in November 2025. It introduces improvements across every layer of the game, including a fully redesigned UI, enhanced driving physics, clearer career progression and improved online systems.
"While the launch had its challenges, we were stepping in more actively from the publishing side to help realize the game's full potential," comments Boris Stefan, CSO at Giants Software. "We remain confident in the project and are launching a limited-time promotion starting today, offering up to 50% off to invite more racing fans to experience Project Motor Racing on their own in its Version 2.0."
Kevin Boland, CDO at Straight4 Studios: "Following the mixed reception to Project Motor Racing’s launch last November, the team at Straight4 Studios has been working closely with the wider sim racing community to improve the experience, patch by patch. Those months of feedback, testing, and iteration now culminate in Update 2.0 that represents a line in the sand for us – the moment where we solidify the base experience and begin working on the future."
