With lifetime revenue from Merge Mansion exceeding $700 million, Metacore can look back on five very successful years. However, CEO Tammenkoski believes there is still room for growth in the mobile games industry.

Since its establishment in 2020, Metacore has grown into a profitable mobile game company with locations in Helsinki and Berlin. Over 280 Metacore employees from more than 40 countries now work at the company. Its narrative-driven mobile game, Merge Mansion, launched in September 2020, has been downloaded over 60 million times and generated more than $700 million (~€591 million) in lifetime revenue.

"During our first five years, we have learned tremendously not only about our players and what makes them spend time with games, but also about leading a fast-scaling organization. We've shaken up the way mobile games are made and marketed, breaking the traditional ways of working and evolving the game industry as a whole," says Metacore's CEO Mika Tammenkoski.

"Merge Mansion has had an amazing growth journey, first inventing the whole merge2 category, expanding globally, and entertaining our audiences with mysteries both in and outside of the game. However, the landscape of casual and merge2 games has evolved rapidly in the past couple of years. To stay ahead in such a competitive space, we must continue leveling up to meet player expectations," says David Telenius, General Manager of Merge Mansion. "We're here for the long run, and our goal is to reclaim the leading position in the merge2 category. We'll do that by focusing on what sets us apart: delivering high-quality, engaging, and fun experiences, while building trust in both our game and the Merge Mansion brand. To ensure a truly world-class player experience, we're investing in creative storytelling, enhanced LiveOps, and a smoother user journey."

"In five years, we have seen significant developments in the mobile game industry, and there's still room for growth, as well as new innovative ways to serve players and do marketing. The future of our industry is shaped by those who think games beyond the mobile screen, as entertainment and strong IP. I still feel like we're just getting started and have great plans in store. To our fans and players, talented team, and partners: thank you for the journey so far," Tammenkoski concludes.

To celebrate Metacore's fifth anniversary, Merge Mansion is launching a series of in-game events and community giveaways.
