During the Tokyo Games Show, Xbox hosted a games showcase, announcing Forza Horizon 6 alongside other titles. A number of third-party companies also presented their games, including Capcom, Square Enix and IO Interactive.
At the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast, Microsoft saved the biggest announcement until the end. Forza Horizon 6 is set to be released in 2026, with Japan as the setting. The publisher also presented Ninja Gaiden 4, developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, and announced a Japan World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. In terms of partners, there was a world premiere of Gungrave Gore: Blood Heat, and Square Enix released the RPG Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven for Xbox. Capcom also showed more of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and announced that the first two games in the series are coming to Xbox. Overall, 25 games were featured in the show.

Age of Mythology: Retold's next expansion, Heavenly Spear takes players to Japan, and will be released on 30 September 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, Steam, and PlayStation 5.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch on 14 November 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, Battle.net and Steam, as well as for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The Early Access Beta will begin on 2 October, followed by the Open Beta on 5 October. During TGS, they introduced Japan-set multiplayer maps.
Fallout 76's developers showcased some of the most impressive Japanese-made C.A.M.P.s to date.
Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan and will be released in 2026. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, and Steam. It will come to the PlayStation 5 post-launch. "While we're not announcing too much in terms of detail right now, we're excited to show fans the true breadth of beauty - both natural and urban environments - that Japan has to offer," explains Art Director, Don Arceta. "From the neon lights and towering buildings of Tokyo City - one of our most detailed and layered environments to date - to the serenity and natural beauty of Japan's rural and mountain areas, we think players will be blown away by the open world of Japan that we have built."
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are getting a Japan-themed World Update 20, which includes 23 new photogrammetry areas. The NAMC YS-11 is also available to purchase from the in-sim marketplace. Also: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will land on PlayStation 5 on 8 December 2025.
Ninja Gaiden 4: Team Ninja and PlatinumGames have unveiled the first details of the game's difficulty design. The game is set to be released on 21 October 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, Steam and PlayStation 5.

007 First Light (IO Interactive): British actress Gemma Chan (Eternals, Crazy Rich Asians, The Creator) makes her video game debut as Selina Tan, the head of MI6's tactical simulation department.
Aniimo (Kingsglory): The TGS trailer showed how a number of Aniimo interact with each other and their environment.
Double Dragon Revive (Arc System Works) presents its "Extra Mode". The game is due to launch on 23 October 2025.
Dragon Quest I & II HD Remake (Square Enix) will feature a new area to explore: the Ocean Floor. The HD remake arrives on 30 October 2025.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake (Koei Tecmo) offers a complete overhaul of the original game. The graphics and sound have been improved, as have the core gameplay systems and controls. The game is currently being developed for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Gungrave Gore Blood Heat (Iggymob): This world premiere showcased the classic action game rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5.
Hitman: World of Assassination (IO Interactive): Bruce Lee joins Agent 47 on a new mission.
Hotel Barcelona (Wild Owls & Cult Games) reveals multiplayer modes and is released tomorrow, 26 September 2025, for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
Mistfall Hunter (Bellring Games & Skystone Games) unveils its second map.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (Capcom) is the latest instalment in the series and will be available from 13 March 2026. Monster Hunter Stories and its sequel Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will both be available on Xbox from 14 November 2025.
Project Evilbane (Netmarble) shows off its 4-player action-RPG combat.
Rhythm Doctor (7th Beat Games & IndieNova) is leaving Early Access on 6 December 2025 to come to Steam, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC.

Starsand Island (Seed Lab) has unveiled a CG trailer highlighting the game's cosy island setting and features such as open-ended farming and creative DIY building.
