Das "League of Legends"-Team von G2 Esports holt einen Game Award. Die meisten Preise hat "The Last of Us II" abgeräumt. Mimimi, Paintbucket und die ESL gehen leer aus.

In der Nacht wurden die Game Awards vergeben und das "League of Legends"-Team der Berliner G2 Esports konnte einen als "Best Esports Team" ergattern. Gleich sieben Trophäen gingen an "The Last of Us II", darunter "Game of the Year". Jeweils zwei Preise gingen an "Among Us", "Hades" und "Final Fantasy VII Remake".

Auch Spiele von Mimimi Games und Paintbucket Games waren nominiert, "Desperados III" in der Kategorie "Best Sim/Strategy Game" und "Through the Darkest of Times" in "Games for Impact". Zudem war die von der ESL ausgerichtete IEM Katowice als "Best Esports Event" nominiert. Alle drei mussten den Award jedoch anderen überlassen.

Best Mobile Game: "Among Us"

Best Community Support: "Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout"

Best VR/AR Game: "Half-Life: Alyx"

Best Action Game: "Hades"

Best Action/Adventure Game: "The Last of Us Part II"

Best RPG: "Final Fantasy VII Remake"

Best Fighting Game: "Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate"

Best Family Game: "Animal Crossing: New Horizons"

Best Sim/Strategy Game: "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

Best Sports/Racing Game: "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2"
