Online retailer Galaxus recorded its second-strongest growth in the company's history in 2025. Only in the coronavirus year of 2020 did Galaxus grow even more strongly. According to the Swiss retail company, the platform's sales rose by 17 percent to 3.76 billion Swiss francs, equivalent to 4.02 billion euros. Galaxus has not published any information on profits.

A closer look at the data shows that the company remains exceptionally strong, especially in its home market of Switzerland. There, Galaxus is considered the largest e-commerce provider, ahead of Amazon, with its two stores, Galaxus and Digitec. For several years now, Galaxus has been pursuing a strategy of internationalization, albeit not at any price. As a result, growth outside Switzerland was somewhat lower. Sales in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands rose by 15% to €405 million. In the previous year, the increase in these markets served by Galaxus was 27%.

“We have shifted the pendulum slightly towards profitability and invested less in marketing. Nevertheless, we have grown significantly, so we are very satisfied,” says Florian Teuteberg, CEO of Digitec Galaxus. According to the company, Galaxus is one of the top 30 online retailers in Germany, where it has its own subsidiary. It is also gaining market share across Europe.

Galaxus has also massively expanded its product catalog in recent years through a marketplace offering. At the end of 2024, the range comprised 10 million products. At the end of 2020, it was still three million products. Another factor is the range of services offered. Galaxus not only offers mobile and internet subscriptions in Switzerland, but has also launched a TV subscription service.
