The Belgian venture capital firm ForsVC has launched a new website to support the Belgian games industry: GameMentors.be is designed to help mentors and mentees find each other.

The Belgian VC firm ForsVC sees itself as a link between the Belgian games industry and investors and is therefore expanding its support of the industry. The company already operates a platform at gameindustry.be that combines industry data and addresses. A second, associated platform, GameMentors.be, has now been launched to bring together mentors and mentees within the Belgian games industry. According to the company, more than 20 people from the industry have already signed up to be mentors.

There are no thematic restrictions on mentorship. Whether it's start-up strategy, management style, monetization models, investor or publisher pitchings, negotiations or even just promotion – studios seeking support should be able to find suitable mentors through the platform. The aim is for the Belgian games industry as a whole to move forward through a collaborative approach.

The founding partners of ForsVC include the Howest University of Applied Sciences, the Cronos Group, DAE Studios and BNP Paribas Fortis. The VC investor's portfolio includes Strivecloud, Glowfish Interactive, Oro Interactive, Mystic Forge, Oisoi Studio, Studio Deloryan and Cyborn.
