At this year's GamesFestival in Munich, Julius Girbig from CDPR will show his way to success, Active Fungus brings historical gaming to the audience and the Amadeu-Antonio-Stiftung talk about hatespeech in games. This and much more is part of the full programme reveal.

The fourth GamesFestival in Munich has revealed its full programme. From 2 May to 5 May at the FatCat in Munich and online, the festival under the motto “New Worlds” will bring a schedule full of talks, workshops, participatory art and more around all things XR, AI and games.

The opening event starts on Thursday, 2 May at 17:00 o’ clock, followed by a live podcast recording of ARD’s Levels & Soundtracks cast and a chiptune concert by Vault Kid.

On Friday, Active Fungus will talk about the design process of historical games and the Amadeu Antonio Foundation will hold an online talk about Hatespeech in Games, among other things. On Saturday, Senior Technical Animator Julius Girbig will give a glimpse into his way to CD Project Red, and the Public Library Munich presents its gaming programme. The highlight on Sunday is the awardshow of the GamesPreis24.

The GamesFestival24 is a free and participatory event organised by a youth leader group in combination with experts from the ComputerSpielAkademie. The GamesPreis is also awarded through a youth jury.
