Another year of growth is expected. The Games Ground Festival started in 2023 as a small indie games festival and immediately attracted around 4,500 visitors. By 2024, the number had already risen to 8,000 visitors. The business days in particular quickly developed into a popular meeting place for studios from Berlin, but increasingly also from further afield.

At Games Ground Berlin 2025, more than 60 sessions are planned on several stages, where indie devs will provide insights into exciting topics alongside representatives from major studios, publishers, and platforms such as Blizzard, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Xbox, Unity, Larian Studios, Supercell, and Twitch. The accompanying exhibition, which will once again attract thousands of consumers over the weekend, will feature over 100 games, not including retro games.

Thanks to its success and the support of the state of Berlin, Games Ground has become another flagship project for the German games industry, with an impact that extends far beyond the city limits and, in some cases, even beyond Germany.
