The lecture "Adaptation - When Stories Change Medium" will take place on Wednesday at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). The topic is the transformation of stories in different media, especially from film to games.

The main case study of the evening is "Ostwind" (Windstorm), which has captivated millions of viewers as a book, film and game. Lea Schmidbauer, author and screenwriter of the movies/HFF, Wolfgang Emmer, CEO, and Sabine Winkler, Game Design Director of the Windstorm developer Aesir Interactive, are expected to be on stage. The discussion will be moderated by Marcus Klöppel. Together, they will explore the narrative methods of each medium, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses and examining how they can evoke emotions in the audience.

The panel discussion on June 19 is a joint event of Games/Bavaria, the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München (HFF), the CreatiF Centre of the HFF and the Technische Universität München (TUM) and takes place in the context of the seminar Immersive Storytelling: Games at the HFF and TUM. Participation can be reserved via eventbride.
