It was the first gamescom asia after the move from Singapore to Bangkok, and it brought the desired success. The fact that gamescom asia took place in conjunction with the already strong Thailand Game Show drove visitor numbers up. According to the official name of the event, the organizers of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show counted a total of 206,159 visitors over four days.
In addition, there were 5,590 trade visitors from 81 countries, who made the business area a complete success. The invest circle & VIP mixer brought together 418 developers, publishers, and investors – another great success.

And Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society added: "The government, through the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) is committed to being a key driving force in supporting the Thai gaming industry and a reliable partner for all stakeholders both domestic and international. MDES wants to see Thai games expand into the global market."
The closing ceremony was also attended by Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce, a high-ranking representative of the Thai government. "I was deeply impressed to see both Thai and international game developers embracing the beauty of Thailand as the backdrop and characters in their games. This is true soft power, allowing players around the world to experience Thai identity through the world of games. Throughout the gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show, business negotiations were conducted and generated over 1.22 billion THB in economic value, a figure that reflects Thailand's enormous potential on the global stage," she said.
Given that the KPIs have developed accordingly and the feedback is that positive, it is not surprising that the organizers are already planning for next year. The gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show will then take place again in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1.
