gamescom 2023 has its first winners. The devcom Indie Awards were presented during the networking dinner on Sunday evening
The devcom traditionally kicks off the gamescom week in Cologne. And the devcom kick-off takes place on Sunday evening. What once started as a Speaker Dinner has now become a full-blown Networking Dinner with hundreds of guests, including of course all the speakers who could make it, gathering at the Flora in Cologne. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the devcom Indie Awards, each worth 3000 euros. The winners were chosen by the jury from over 200 entries from more than 40 countries.
The prize in the "Graphics Galore" category went to Rhenus Vina Musica (Germany) for "Hieronymus". The "Creative Overkill" category was won by Oopsie Daisies Studios (Switzerland) for "Tom the Postgirl". And the Blockbuster category was won by Pentakill Studios (Spain) for The Occultist. The devcom Indie Awards are sponsored by Astragon and Coherence.
