Preparations for gamescom latam are in full swing. At a pre-show event, further details were revealed, and the finalists in the Brazilian Independent Game category were announced.

In just two months, the international games industry will meet for the second time at gamescom latam in São Paulo. The trade fair, once again held in association with the internationally renowned BIG Festival, has quickly become a must-attend event for the industry in South America. Any company maintaining or looking to develop business relationships in the region will be taking part.

In addition to Steam and The Pokémon Company, exhibitors such as Level Infinite and Gravity have now also been confirmed. Both companies participated in the first gamescom latam last year. Pokémon GO Senior Director Michael Steranka has also confirmed his attendance.

The nominees for the Best Brazilian Game category were announced at a pre-show event, with the award ceremony set to take place on 2 May during gamescom latam. International studios are eligible for other categories, though the shortlists for these have not yet been determined.
