The youth-focused GamesPreis 2026, organised by the GamesFestival crew in Bavaria, is looking for award submissions. These can be made from January 1, 2026. The deadline for submissions is expected to be February 15, 2026. Submissions can be made in several media categories, especially (paper) prototypes, finished games, digital gaming culture and for the special prize.

There are cash prizes to be won in two age groups: Up to 18 and 19–26 years. Submitting youth must live in Bavaria.

The Games Prize is organized by the Computer Game Academy (ComputerSpielAkademie, CSA) of the Munich Media Center of the JFF – Institute for Media Education, and the Bavarian Youth Ring (BJR). It is sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Affairs, the Social Welfare Office/City Youth Welfare Office/Youth Culture Center and Cultural Affairs Office of the City of Munich, and Games/Bavaria.
