Four new games made it into the top 5 of the German game sales charts in October 2023. While "EA Sports FC 24" remains at the top, Assassins, Super Mario, Spider-Man and a Soulslike shake up the following ranks.

In October 2023, four new releases made it into the top 5 of the official german game charts, even though none of the newcomers were able to knock "EA Sports FC 24" off the top spot. The highest new entry is "Assassin's Creed Mirage" from Ubisoft, followed by "Super Mario Bros. Wonder" from Nintendo, "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" from Sony and "Lords of the Fallen" from CI Games. Long-running bestseller "Grand Theft Auto V" holds sixth position. "Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1" made the leap to 15th place.

"Starfield" by Bethesda is no longer in the top 20 following its September launch. In the previous month, the sci-fi role-playing game was still in second place. The same applies to "Payday 3", which was in fifth place in the previous month and is missing from the charts this month. In any case, "The Crew Motorfest" and "NBA 2K24" are down significantly. With "Battlefield 2042", the shooter released in November 2021 also makes a comeback to 7th place.

The charts of the game - Association of the German Games Industry are cross-platform and include the games for PCs and consoles most frequently sold on data carriers and as downloads in Germany in the respective month. The data basis is provided by Games Sales Data (GSD), a platform of Video Games Europe (VGE), formerly Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE). Numerous retailers, publishers and digital distribution platforms such as the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live from Germany report sales figures to GSD. However, digital sales of Nintendo titles from the eShop are not included.
