At this year's Golden Joystick Awards, Helldivers 2 won the most prizes. But the main category was won by Black Myth: Wukong, which should do well at all the upcoming awards.

It was clear to everyone that Black Myth: Wukong was an ambitious project. Nevertheless, the global sales success in the West this summer has surprised some. The logical consequence is that the title is now also one of the main favorites at the international awards ceremonies. This has recently been proven by the Golden Joystick Awards. Black Myth: Wukong won not only the category Best Visual Design but also the main category Ultimate Game of the Year at the industry's longest-running awards ceremony.

The most successful title at the Golden Joysticks Awards was Helldivers 2. Developed by the Swedish Arrowhead Game Studios, the game won the Critics' Choice Award, Console Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer Game, and Best Game Trailer.

Other multiple winners of the evening were Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Best Storytelling, Best Soundtrack) and Balatro (Best Indie Game, Breakthrough Award).

The awards were hosted by Ben Starr, alongside special guests from the world of gaming,
