From 21 to 23 November, the Finals of the European Magic: The Gathering cEDH Championship have taken place in Munich at the Kolping-Haus. In a tournament of 314 players over three days, Portuguese player Guilherme Guedes won the championship in a final round against players Roel Pomper, Roy Rajji and Even Cell with a deck helmed by mono-blue Commander card Teferi, Temporal Archmage. Main sponsors of the event were Vienna TCG trader Three For One Trading as well as proxy card service ProxyPrintery.

What Makes a cEDH Tournament Special?
The played format cEDH is a sub format of the Commander multiplayer play style, in which four players fight competitively to win first place with special deck layouts that consists of 100 singleton cards, led by so-called Commander that can be replayed an unlimited number of times. While Commander is an official format and supported by Magic publisher Wizards of the Coast with a range of products, the cEDH competitive bracket, although being hinted at in recent rule changes, is not an official tournament category. The cEDH European Championship is therefore not a Wizards of the Coast event, but a cooperation of volunteer organisations throughout Europe. The event initially took place in Lisbon in 2024 and is rotating to different places on the continent. For the Munich event, Augsburg event agency Ballonfabrik was the organiser, with volunteers Wolfgang Obermeier and Benjamin Alber running the event on site.
