The core development team of Headup is now its own studio: Goon Squad will now exist as a sister company to the publisher, under the same parent company Microcuts Holding.

Düren publisher Headup is creating a new studio: Goon Squad, an independent studio emerging from Headup's own in-house development team. It is independent from Headup and will instead be a sister company to the company, under the roof of parent company Microcuts Holding.

“The creation of Goon Squad is a testament to Headup’s commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation. Known for crafting captivating titles like Tinkertown and Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine, the development team has always been at the core of Headup's own IP productions. By establishing Goon Squad, Headup is empowering this creative hub to flourish independently, fostering a space where new gaming experiences can take root and grow while sharpening its own positioning with a clear publishing focus.”, Headup says.
