Hooded Horse Partners With Ndemic Creations

Hooded Horse has partnered with the British studio Ndemic Creations to take over the PC publishing duties for Rebel Inc Escalation. "Rebel Inc. is a masterful exploration of a subject matter that few games touch," says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. "Games often have you conquering, defeating enemy armies, and painting the map. Rebel Inc. confronts the complexity (and tragedy) inherent in occupation." The partnership covers Rebel Inc. Escalation and all DLCs on PC. However, it does not cover the original mobile game, Rebel Inc.

First released on Steam Early Access in 2019 and entering version 1.0 in 2021, Rebel Inc Escalation is a political and military strategy game in which players must balance competing priorities and deal with a deadly insurgency to stabilise a war-torn country. "Inspired by real-world events in Afghanistan, the game's simulation is highly detailed, featuring real-world development initiatives and an innovative representation of counterinsurgency tactics. The game has been praised by the World Bank and was even featured at a major international peace conference," says the publisher.
