IIDEA: Preparations Underway For First Playbale 2026 And Italian Video Game Awards 2026
Italy's most important gaming conference will take place this year from 10 to 12 June in Florence. But it's not just First Playable 2026 that is in full swing; Italian developers can also submit their titles for the Italian Video Game Award 2026.
Italy's official video game award will also be presented at First Playable in Florence. The award ceremony is scheduled for 11 June. The submission phase will remain open until 10 April. Submissions can be made via the award website.
The Italian Video Game Award is presented in six categories: Best Italian Game, Best Italian Debut Game, Outstanding Art, Outstanding Experience, Outstanding Audio and the Community Spotlight Award. The award show is one of the highlights of First Playable 2026, which is being held for the eighth time. The event is organised by the Italian industry association IIDEA and the Toscana Film Commission Fondazione Sistema Toscana. The event is supported by uscany Region, the ICE Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The three-day event will feature Italian and international industry professionals from around the world.
The options for participating in First Playable 2026 vary greatly for companies. Companies, teams and professionals from the Italian game development industry can choose one of two ticket categories: Developer Full Access or Developer Social Access. Italian companies from other sectors, as well as international visitors, can contact the association via the event website and receive a ticket proposal that meets their needs.
