For the first time in the company's history, Kalypso Media Group is the recipient of the TOP 100 award for innovation. Engaging and interacting with the community was key to winning the award.

Kalypso Media Group has been awarded the TOP 100 Award. This award recognises "particularly innovative" medium-sized companies in Germany. In the "External Orientation/Open Innovation" category, the company scored points for its engagement with gamers through a variety of communication channels and the integration of the community with the Games-as-a-Service model. This is the first time that the Worms-based company has been named one of the top 100 innovators. The award ceremony in Weimar on 28 June will be hosted by science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.

"Our games, like most software products, are never finished. They are constantly being enhanced with new content and updates after they have been released, and are therefore constantly being improved and developed even further. We value the opinions and suggestions of our community. We are therefore delighted to receive this great award, which confirms that a customer-focused approach combined with new ideas and openness to innovation pays off," says Dr Anika Thun, Managing Director and owner of Kalypso Media Group.

On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and his team examined the innovative strength of all participants on the basis of more than 100 criteria in five categories.
