IIDEA Names First Finalists For New Games Beyond Entertainment Award
On 10 October, the Italian games industry association IIDEA will present its first awards in the Games Beyond Entertainment category. The finalists have now been announced.
The winners of the Italian Video Game Awards 2025 have been known since June. At that time, the Italian association IIDEA (Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association) presented its industry award at the First Playable Event. But this year, for the first time, there will be a second round.
In addition to the seven awards already presented, the Italian Video Game Awards - Games Beyond Entertainment 2025 will be presented in two categories – Best in Impact and Best in Learning – for the first time on October 10. This award ceremony will take place as part of The Power of Play event, the festival celebrating video games as a tool for change, scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2025, at the Auditorium Scavolini in Pesaro.
The association has now announced the nominees, from which the five-member jury consisting of Francesco Cavallari (Video Games Without Borders), Adriano Mancini (Polytechnic University of Marche), Luca Roncella (Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan), Arana Shapiro (Games for Change) and Stefania Sperandio (Video Game Critic) will select the two winners.
