Quality Time Studio, founded by Johannes Thimme, will focus on two main areas: developing an original video game prototype and offering professional consultancy, coaching and mentoring services to emerging developer studios and indie teams. "I want to create games that foster creativity and carry a positive message," says Johannes Thimme. "Experiences that inspire, spark joy, and simply make people feel good. In a world that often feels chaotic and dark, games can offer a true moment of quality time." In addition to its own game development activities, Quality Time Studio supports developers by helping them to define clear product visions, build publishing and investor strategies, optimise processes and establish international collaborations.

Johannes Thimme has over 20 years' experience in international game development, including 13 years at Ubisoft. During this time, he held various roles, including Lead Producer, Co-dev Director in Germany, Site Director Online Services and Member of the Executive Management Team at Ubisoft Düsseldorf. During his time at Ubisoft, he contributed to numerous well-known franchises and oversaw the German Online Services teams, which develop Ubisoft Connect.

A few years ago, Johannes Thimme moved to Lower Saxony for personal reasons. Now, he wants to contribute actively to strengthening the regional games industry. "When you get older, your priorities in life start to change. Especially with a family, rural areas with affordable housing become more attractive, and I often hear from developers who've been in the industry for a long time that they can imagine living outside the big cities - that's a real opportunity for the region. Compared to some other German states, the games industry in Lower Saxony isn't as well established yet. I'd be delighted if, with Quality Time Studio, I could help build up another creative hub in the region in the medium to long term - not only for experienced developers, but also for new talent," Thimme said.
