This decision follows mutual discussions between the parties, reflecting a 'shared understanding' of the company's next phase and of Julia Pfiffer's future plans. Over the coming weeks, she will reduce her involvement in day-to-day management before leaving to pursue other business interests. Her ongoing collaboration with the company is facilitating a smooth handover.
The everplay board has appointed Tim Schmitz as sole CEO of both astragon Entertainment and astragon Development, thereby ensuring continuity of leadership. The everplay group is the parent company of Team17, StoryToys and astragon. Julia Pfiffer and Tim Schmitz have jointly served as Co-CEOs of astragon Entertainment GmbH since 1 January 2017 and of astragon Development GmbH since 13 May 2025.
Mikkel Weider, everplay Group CEO, comments: "We thank Julia for her valuable contribution to astragon Entertainment and astragon Development, her commitment, and her leadership over the past years, and wish her all the best for the future."
Julia Pfiffer says: "I am grateful for my time at astragon and for the collaboration with a great team. I am proud of what we have achieved together and wish the company, and everyone involved continued success going forward."
During her time at the company, Julia Pfiffer played a key role in shaping astragon Entertainment's strategic development. She has also been a driving force behind organisational development and cross-functional collaboration within the company and the wider group.
