Many details about the planned project are unknown. Swedish company Jumpgate has only announced that it has signed a development contract with a mobile games publisher for a new games project with a budget of around SEK 19 million (approximately €1.74 million).

The contract was signed by Jumpgate subsidiary Tivola, which is also responsible for implementation. The publisher is investing SEK 10.5 million of the budget, with SEK 8.5 million (€780,000) to be financed by federal funding. The project is therefore subject to final approval by the funding agency. The project itself is scheduled to start in March 2026, with a target duration of 15 months.

“We welcome the addition of another externally financed game project to our project pipeline. With support from the German federal funding program, we can maintain a significant upside in the project while covering the development costs through external funding. The Tivola team has worked hard to put this deal together before the holidays. The application for federal funding will be submitted shortly, and we expect the final decision in the beginning of 2026”, says Harald Riegler, CEO Jumpgate AB.

Tivola was founded in 1995 and originally came from the field of educational software, gradually expanding its portfolio over the years to include family games. Tivola recently won the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP; German Computer Game Award) 2024 in the Best Mobile Game category with its title Cat Rescue Story.
