Fights in Tight Spaces is followed by Knights in Tight Spaces. Ground Shatter and Raw Fury continue the stylised tactical combat, but this time the action is set in medieval times, making for even more variety.

Knights in Tight Spaces is a standalone sequel to Fights in Tight Spaces (2021). It is once again an action-packed take on deck building and tactical combat, incorporating action movie effects and animation. The biggest new feature, which also adds to the tactical depth of the turn-based combat, is that players will control multiple characters, up to three, in tight combat spots - and these characters can have different classes, such as fighter, rogue, sorcerer, etc., each with different cards and modifiers.

Mastering the different scenarios/levels is not only about playing the best hand, but also about learning to control the environment. It's about cleverly positioning characters to take advantage of each other, and for example, triggering automatic support attacks from other characters when one character attacks. It's about using deck synergies, combining attacks/combos, and experimenting with deck building.

The various battles are linked by a procedural map and also by dialogue. There are generally more narrative elements than in Fights in Tight Spaces, and there are optional side missions, which are important for improving your squad. In any case, there is plenty to try out, with 300 cards, different classes and gear to equip, and an upgrade system. This means that the more you play, the more cards, items and gear you will unlock for your next run. If the player fails on the standard difficulty, they will have to start their run again. If you don't like that, you can choose one of the other difficulty levels and restart the fight. For players who like it hard, there are two more difficulty levels, as well as a Daily Play Leaderboard and an Endless mode.

Knights in Tight Spaces is being developed by Ground Shatter, a game development studio founded in 2014 and based in Bristol, UK, with 14 employees. After the debut title SkyScrappers and the multiplayer shooter Rico, the studio has made a name for itself with Fights in Tight Spaces. Knights in Tight Spaces builds on the success of its predecessor. The game is published by Swedish indie publisher Raw Fury, which was founded in 2015 by Jonas Antonsson, Gordon Van Dyke and David Martinez. Both Fights in Tight Spaces and Knights in Tight Spaces have been published by Raw Fury.

Knights in Tight Spaces was released for PC on 4 March 2025 for €19.99. A Collector's Edition containing the base game, OST and art book is available for €29.99. Console versions have not yet been announced.

Conclusion

Knights in Tight Spaces expands on the concept of Fights in Tight Spaces in almost every respect - and adapts the combat concept quite well to a medieval setting.

Features
  • Much more tactical variety, characters and fighting options
  • Fantasy scenario with more narrative elements
  • Motivating meta progression from run to run
