Im Herbst 2004 wird eine Ikone der Games-Geschichte reanimiert: "Leisure Suit Larry" kehrt zurück auf die Bildschirme.

Wie Vivendi Universal Games (VUG) offiziell bestätigt hat, wird das Spiel mit dem Titel "Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude" derzeit von High Voltage ("NBA Inside Drive", "Hunter - The Reckoning: Wayward") entwickelt. Erstmals trat der sympathische Verlierer 1987 in einem PC-Spiel auf und konnte in insgesamt sieben Teilen über 35 Mio. Spieler weltweit begeistern.

Zwar sind weder der Original-Larry noch sein Erfinder Al Lowe mit an Bord, VUG verspricht aber, das bewährte Spielprinzip beizubehalten. So geht der Spieler diesmal in der Rolle von Larry Lovage, dem jungen Neffen von Larry Laffer, auf die Jagd nach willigen Collegestudentinnen und stolpert dabei, wie das große Vorbild, in so manche aberwitzige Situation.

"Jahrelang haben uns Spieler aus der ganzen Welt bekniet, ein neues 'Leisure Suit Larry'-Spiel zu veröffentlichen. Daher ist es mir eine große Freude, die Entwicklung von 'Magna Cum Laude' ankündigen zu können", sagt Luc Vanhal, Präsident von VUG.
