Armin Laschet will das Profil NRWs als Medienstandort stärken und hat dabei ganz besonders die Gamesbranche im Blick.

"Wir wollen das Profil des Medienstandorts NRW deutlich schärfen und zu dem eines Medien-Digital-Landes fortentwickeln", sagt Armin Laschet, Ministerpräsident von Nordrhein-Westfalen im Interview mit GamesMarkt. Dabei hat er offenbar ganz besonders die Spielebranche im Blick. Es reiche nicht, dass NRW in der Vergangenheit die Nummer eins bei der Förderung der Gamesbranche gewesen sei, "wir müssen auch in Zukunft ganz oben stehen." Kritisch sieht Laschet auch den geringen Anteil deutscher Produktionen am deutschen Markt. Dies könne die Politik nicht zufriedenstellen. "Wir wollen, dass die Gamesbranche in Nordrhein-Westfalen bestmögliche Rahmenbedingungen hat und ihre Wertschöpfungs- und Innovationspotenziale voll ausschöpfen kann".
