With two million players in the first 24 hours after launch and the best concurrent user rate of all Warhammer games ever, Space Marine 2 has become Focus Entertainment's best launch ever overnight.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was well on its way to be a big success even before the official release: The Advanced Access version had already outperformed French publisher Focus’ Entertainments previous launches before the full-on launch of the game. Now, 48 hours after the official full release of Space Marine 2 (read the GamesMarkt+ preview here), Focus reports a much more impressive milestone: With 2 million players on the first day, the Games Workshop license game has become Focus Entertainment’s a.k.a Pullups best launch ever.

"We are humbled by the breathtaking reception from the community and proud of all the hard work delivered by the teams at Focus Entertainment Publishing alongside our partners Saber Interactive and Games Workshop” says Geoffroy Sardin, Deputy CEO of Pullup Entertainment. “After years of development, support and engagement with the fans, it’s amazing to see the incredible response from followers of the Warhammer 40,000 franchise, from newcomers to the universe and from fans of AAA action titles worldwide. This achievement is a testament to both the expertise of our development and publishing teams, who have worked hard to bring this incredible experience to market."

But not only that: The game currently tops the Steam charts worldwide as well as in Germany. The concurrent usercount is also impressive, with 225,690 CCU through Steam on Monday’s release day, in comparison to the Advanced Access’ peak of 134,302 CCU. With that, the game has become the Warhammer title with the most concurrent users ever.
