PlayBern Festival 2025 Brings Game Music Into the Spotlight

The 7. PlayBern Festival from 31 October to 2 November features game music as a spotlight topic. Apart from game concerts and composers on stage, accessibility in music takes center stage. Research collective CH Ludens will also be part of the program.
From 31 October to 2 November, the PlayBern Festival 2025 takes place in the Swiss city Bern. This year’s motto is “Let’s Play Music”, putting game music and composers into the spotlight.
For this, the program features game music concerts with Les Simon, Gwen Gloor and Brian Schweigler, experimental concerts, workshops with sound designers and accessibility tools in music, as well as many more program points. Bern research collective CH Ludens (we reported) will also be on stage with a history of Swiss game development.
The festival also awards a children and youth game prize to selected games. PlayBern will take place in Bern’s Markuskirche. It is the seventh iteration of the festival. Organisers are the non-profit association PlayBern that aims to establish gaming culture in Switzerland and expand knowledge about games.
