New ticket structures, an app, FFF Bavaria as a new funding partner, MTG and Pokémon TCG tournaments and much more: At today's press conference in Hof, the LFG Con has presented their 2026 event plans together with County Administrator Oliver Bär.
At today’s press conference at the Landratsamt Hof, the organisers of the LFG Con and County Administrator Oliver Bär presented the details for this year’s event in Hof. Bär expressed the interest of the Hof area in the gaming expo: to interest and hold young people in the area, to educate parents and to bring people to the local economy.
FilmFernsehFonds Bayern is newly part of the funding team this year: LFG has gotten Media Industry Promotion (Medienstandortförderung) for the first time this year.
The fair features several new areas this year, among them an 18+ horror game area, a retro flea market and a workshop area for B2B and education subevents.
Apart from the new features, many return. An Artist Alley, Cosplay Area, Tabletop & TCG Area and Retro Area are announced. Games Island will once again hold a Magic: The Gathering tournament with up to 264 players at the event venue. Also new will be a Pokémon TCG tournament on site. A newly developed app will lead through the expo experience.
Ticket prices were also announced. Regular ticket prices go up to 15€. Discounted tickets for 12€ are available for students, children, seniors and people with handicaps. A new family ticket consisting of 2 adult and up to three children will be offered for 50€. Cosplayers will also get a discount of 5€ at the event.
Confirmed exhibitors are Emergo Entertainment, Cybernetic Solutions, OmniaGames as well as Games Island, Hochschule Hof, eSports Hof, Flashback Events, Classic Computing, Steelseries, AOK, Diakonie Hochfranken, Bezirksjugendring Oberfranken and the German Army. The Cosplaystammtisch Hof will not only exhibit, but also organise the Cosplay Tournament on the Main Stage. There are still several tables available for interested exhibitors in the indie area, retro flea market and career space.
LFG Hof 2026 will take place on Sunday, 24 May from 9:00 to 18:00 o’clock at Freiheitshalle Hof. The day before, a B2B event will take place at the location.
