In mid-June, the Gamers Heaven gaming community event took place in Tyrol for the second time. Despite summer temperatures, 3,500 visitors came to Telfs near Innsbruck. Plans are already underway for 2026.
In addition to flagship events such as gamescom, regional and local gaming events are also enjoying ever-increasing popularity. These include Gamers Heaven, which took place for the second time on 14 and 15 June at the SportZentrum Telfs near Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian state of Tyrol.
Around 5,000 square metres of the venue were occupied by over 50 exhibitors. A total of around 3,500 visitors attended Gamers Heaven. The opening ceremony was attended by Mario Gerber, Tyrol's Minister for Tourism, Economy and Digitalisation, Christian Härting, Mayor of Telfs, Barbara Plattner, Managing Director of TVB Innsbruck (Innsbruck Tourist Board), and Prof. Dr. Peter J. Mirski from the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
In addition to games and hardware such as the Switch 2, VR stations, indie games and retro pinball machines, there was also a cosplay competition, esports show matches and an area for pen & paper role-playing games, tabletop games, board games and trading card games. The organisers of Gamers Heaven are so pleased with the results of the second edition that plans for a third Gamers Heaven are already underway. It is scheduled to take place in June 2026.
